This presentation is designed to highlight in detail a complicated retreatment case. The initial appointment of this two-step retreatment case was presented live on 12/28/2015 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_T0RBR0ins ). This program will show the final visit live sponsored by PDL. A preliminary case presentation will be given, describing the history of 2 previous failed retreatments, exam findings, and all complications that have occurred leading up to the final appointment. This should be an extraordinary unique demonstration of a very complicated case completed for live viewing and CE credit.

Course Outline

I. Case presentation demonstrating the history, exam findings, review of the first visit, and follow-up sequelae.
II. Live Stream demonstration of the second visit including obturation and placement of the core.
III. Q and A


  1. Learn a systematic protocol for taking a detailed dental history, collecting findings, performing and examination, determining the diagnosis, assessing prognosis, and construction of a treatment plan for a complicated endodontic retreatment case.
  2. Observe the controlled execution of a complicated endodontic retreatment procedure
  3. Observe the placement of an aseptic post-treatment core

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, former editor and publisher of The Endodontic Report, former president of the Boston University Endodontic Alumni Association, current reviewer for the Journal of Endodontics (official journal of the American Association of Endodontists), Past President of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, President and Founder of the Schilder Institute for the Advancement of Endodontics, Editor and Publisher of PDL (Pure Dental Learning), Volunteer Clinical Professor at the University of California at San Francisco, and international lecturer-author of topics relating to clinical endodontics. He lives and practices in Santa Barbara, California.
