Case: patient presenting with a long-standing periodontal furcation defect and previous endodontic treatment

Patient: 66 year old female with a history of rheumatic fever and hip replacement
Chief Complaint: The crown on #30 fell off (previous endodontic treatment of #30 appeared to have a furcation perforation associated with the observed buccal periodontal defect)
Dental History: The previous root canal treatment (#30) had been performed 3-4 years prior to the time of consultation. The referring dentist had been watching the furcation defect
