15 year recall: Silver Point Retreatment

Retreatment is predictable and preferable to extraction

Patient: 51 year old female, with hypertension (at time of 15 year recall)

Chief Complaint: Asymptomatic

Dental History: The patient reported a history of root canal treatment years earlier. Her dentist noted recurrent caries and a compromised crown margin associated with the mandibular right second molar (Tooth #31). Periapical radiolucencies consistent with a chronic periradicular periodontitis were noted.
