Description:

Nonsurgical endodontic therapy is a very technique sensitive art and science. Advances in materials, imaging, and microsurgical techniques have elevated the quality of results that all practicing dentists should be aware of. At the end of this presentation the participant will have a greater understanding of classic principles which are foundations to clinical endodontic treatment success. Dr. Pannkuk will provide a unique comprehensive overview of endodontic treatment objectives and describe in detail the technique steps from start to finish. This session is limited to 25 participants and will be highly interactive. Questions will be taken during the presentation. (Headsets or Chatbox)

Participants are invited to present a case history that they treated (submitting digital radiographs, microphotos and documentation in digital format ahead of time) for personal coaching with discussion by the entire group during the Question and Answer portion at the end.

Objectives

  1. Describe classic principles which are the foundations of clinical endodontic treatment success.
  2. Identify treatment complexities and assess prognosis
  3. Choose and execute a treatment plan for teeth having different forms of root canal system anatomy

Biography

Dr. Terry Pannkuk, a native of California, graduated from University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in Biology, Georgetown Dental School with a D.D.S., and Boston University with an M.Sc.D. in Endodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, former editor and publisher of The Endodontic Report, former president of the Boston University Endodontic Alumni Association, current reviewer for the Journal of Endodontics (official journal of the American Association of Endodontists), Past President of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, President and Founder of the Schilder Institute for the Advancement of Endodontics, Editor and Publisher of PDL (Pure Dental Learning), Volunteer Clinical Professor at the University of California at San Francisco, and international lecturer-author of topics relating to clinical endodontics.

He lives and practices in Santa Barbara, California.
