Historically, documentation of details during patient treatment has been an extraordinary challenge. In recent years, interdisciplinary comprehensive care has become increasingly complicated with the need for meticulous accurate communication between team members working together to rehabilitate a patient’s entire dentition.
As an experienced board-certified endodontist, Dr. Pannkuk has developed certain key strategies utilizing modern technology such as Cone Beam CT scanning, Microscopy, Digital Radiography, and Advanced Clinical Photography to document patient treatment so that all salient details are recorded and organized for later retrieval and case presentation. Digital imaging and paperless charting with a networked computer system have profoundly changed dental practice in the last two decades.
Those clinicians practicing traditional charting are at a disadvantage and may become overwhelmed and inefficient when migrating to the use of a microscope, CBCT, and digital imaging not fully understanding the new opportunities to more precisely record and gather detailed information about a patient’s treatment.
This presentation will be fully interactive and allow questions throughout the presentation as Dr. Pannkuk’s strategies for documentation will be explained and shown as needed.
Demonstrations of Photoshop image correction, Lightroom image organization, Dropbox, EyeFi, utilization of raw images and 4K videos with the new Sony A7rII mirrorless camera will be highlighted.
