The participants attending this webinar will benefit from learning valuable clinical endodontic techniques and planning approaches to unique challenging endodontic case presentations. The four presenters are experienced endodontists with many years of experience and will detail and share their developed expertise.

Direct individual questions can be asked by the attendees and the webinar will be completely interactive.

This webinar is highly recommended for any dentist who regularly performs root canal procedures and would like to learn advanced management techniques for encountered complexities.

II. Prognosis assessment and special handling of combined endodontic-periodontal pathosis (Dr. Oliver Pontius)

III. Treating the immature tooth with endodontic treatment (Dr. Normand Aubre)

IV. Special considerations and management of sinus related dental disease (Dr. Rod Tataryn)

V. Discussion with participant questions (All Presenters)

Objectives

At the end of this webinar, participants will have a detailed understanding of systematic diagnosis and treatment planning for a variety of complex endodontic presentations including-

  1. Pedodontic cases involving immature roots and the indications for regenerative techniques

  2. Different varieties of periodontally involved teeth

  3. Involvement of the maxillary sinus

Biography

Doctor Normand Aubre obtained his dental degree from the University of Montreal in 1977. After practicing general dentistry for 8 years, he joined the Henry M Goldman School of Postgraduate Dentistry at Boston University and received his certificate in endodontics in 1987. Since then he has maintained a private practice in the city of Laval, north of Montreal.
He has been an associate professor at McGill University for the multidisciplinary residency program of the Montreal children's Hospital for the last 20 years.
He has lectured locally and abroad, in mostly french countries......"since he is french canadian"......

Biography

Dr. Oliver Pontius was the first United States-trained specialist in endodontics who works in Germany. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and received his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Endodontics as well as his Masters of Science in Endodontics at Boston University. He is a Specialist Member of the European Society of Endodontology, the scientific head and lecturer of structured further education of Endodontics, Zahnarztekammer, Hamburg, specialist in endodontics for Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Zahnerhaltung and also for Dt. Gesellschaft fur Endodontologie und zahnarztliche Traumatologie. He is also teaches at the postgraduate endodontic program, Universite Paris Diderot VII.

Biography

Dr. Rod Tataryn received his DDS degree in 1989 and Master of Science degree in Endodontics in 1994 from Loma Linda University. In 1994 he established a private endodontic practice in Spokane, Washington where he continues to practice full-time. Dr. Tataryn has published scientific and clinical articles in endodontics and has served on the Clinical Practice Committee for the American Association of Endodontists. He is an assistant professor of graduate endodontics at Loma Linda University and is a contributing author for the Sixth Edition of Ingle’s Endodontics, the Second Edition of PDQ Endodontics, as well as the Seventh Edition of Ingle’s Endodontics due out later this year.

Dr. Terry Pannkuk, a native of California, graduated from University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in Biology, Georgetown Dental School with a D.D.S., and Boston University with an M.Sc.D. in Endodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, former editor and publisher of The Endodontic Report, former president of the Boston University Endodontic Alumni Association, current reviewer for the Journal of Endodontics (official journal of the American Association of Endodontists), Past President of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, President and Founder of the Schilder Institute for the Advancement of Endodontics, Editor and Publisher of PDL (Pure Dental Learning), Volunteer Clinical Professor at the University of California at San Francisco, and international lecturer-author of topics relating to clinical endodontics.

He lives and practices in Santa Barbara, California.
