I understand that a cord left in the sulcus can lead to gingivitis. But what is the reason for the soreness or ulcer presentation ? How does a gingival cord cause ulcers ? Thank you for sharing the case. This is a great learning opportunity for people like me who are always hunting for more information.

A foreign body left in the sulcus and further impacted by the placement of a temporary and temporary cement seemed to create severe inflammatory reaction with circumferential destruction of the adjacent gingiva.
